Forever Grateful!!!

Hi! I’m Sandy K and I was the winner of the Empowerment Package at Boss Health and Fitness Studio. When I first realized I won, I was super excited, but that quickly turned to feelings of “OMG, I’m not sure 53 year old me can do this?!”

My first goal was to slowly get used to going to the gym. To just show up. The first two weeks of bootcamp was really hard. I was so out of shape. I had a cyst on my wrist which made weight bearing painful, so I had to modify many of the exercises. The trainers were great, helpful and understanding throughout all of my classes.

I attended bootcamp twice a week, and was given a 1:1 personal training day once a week with Boss personal trainer, Maria Wood . She listened, pushed and modified where and when it was needed. Her support was everything I needed.

I started a recommended food and vitamin plan. I was coached on how staying on top of this was crucial.

At the end of my six weeks, it was time to get ready for my make-over day. It started with getting a gorgeous tan from Desi at Glow Girl . I had a nice fast acting tan immediately. I enjoyed it so much I’m already planning to go back again.

The morning of the shoot stylist Christine Feghali did my hair. She was patient, listened and encouraged my thoughts throughout the process.

I then went for professional make-up with Yasmine Rose Beauty ; I was truly amazed by what I saw. But even more so… how I FELT.

Next we headed to the Mark Ruddick Studio for the photo shoot. Mark was amazing. He made me feel relaxed, and explained how to hold a pose. After much fun and numerous shots our session was over. I left his studio with a huge smile that lasted all night long. I was on cloud nine for a few days.

I am so proud of these photographs and the effort I put in to achieve them. They captured a moment in time, at 53, feeling fit, strong and beautiful.

This has been life changing for me. It far exceeded any kind of experience I have ever been involved in. I am forever grateful to have been a part of this, and for what this incredible experience has given me.
